Bigger Profits From Your Autoresponder – Add More Emails

Untapped Email Marketing Profits

In part one of this two part series about profiting from autoresponder messages, we took a look at the email messages already loaded up in your a/r. Today we’re discussing adding more emails. Let’s get to work.

Plan It Out

Your first goal is to figure out what you want to email your readers about. Writing and adding a/r messages regularly becomes a lot easier when you have a plan to work from. That’s the first task on your list. Think about what your readers may be interested in reading about and what products and services you want to make offers for. Make a list of email topics to work from.

Make A Schedule

Once you have that list, it’s time to figure out how you want to spread out those emails. At the very beginning of your autoresponder sequence, when your readers are highly interested in you and what you have to say, it’s fine to schedule your messages just a day or two apart. Over time you want to start extending that time period to one or two messages per week, and eventually once email every other week. This is particularly true if you’re also sending broadcast emails with time sensitive content or something like a weekly newsletter.

Write The Emails

You know have your topics and a rough plan for what email should go out when. The next step is of course to write the emails. How you do this is up to you. Some email marketers prefer to write their autoresponder messages in batches, sitting down and spending an entire day (or weekend), writing enough emails to last for the next few months. Others prefer to write them once a week and put that on their schedule. In either case I recommend you do what you can to make sure you’re always several weeks ahead of your subscribers. Things happen, you get busy, and it’s nice to have that cushion built in so your autoresponder doesn’t run dry when you don’t have the time to add new emails.

Plan For The Future

Speaking of adding more messages, it’s just as important to plan for the future. Create a reminder for yourself to do another plotting and planning session a few months down the road where you come up with even more topics for future a/r messages and make a schedule for them.

Keep planning, keep writing, and keep adding more and more emails to your autoresponder. As your list continues to grow, so will your income from those emails.
