Four Ways to Repurpose Your Live Streaming Content

Live Streaming

Repurposing your live stream content is a must if you want to be a successful streamer. Gone are the days where you can go live and expect people to come to you. You need other platforms and content to grab their attention. Repurposing your content increases the consistency and productivity required to gain sustainable success not only in that it makes content easier to produce, it provides valuable content to your viewers.

Here are some of the best ways to repurpose your live streaming content:

Blog Post

Every professional streamer should create their own website and upload unique content to it. If the platform you use to host your content disappears or changes, your audience will still be able to find you. This happens all the time, even with popular platforms. They get sold and disappear, or they change substantially. Plus, all your hard work will be there and not lost. Meaning you should take the time to download and edit every video you live stream and upload it to your site. Having a backup of your work is necessary for long-term success.

Trim Short Clips

Take powerful moments from your live stream and edit them into short clips that you can then share across Instagram, YouTube, and even Twitter. For example, find moments where you shared some fun facts, solved a common problem, or provide a great amount of entertainment or joy to your audience. The goal is to use them as teasers or intros to your content so viewers know exactly what they may be watching when attending live.

How-to or Advice Videos

Edit each of your videos into long-form how-to or advice videos. This can be done using more than one live stream edited together to solve a common problem within the niche or industry. You can even put these clips together to highlight your overall goal and message for the stream.

Create Infographics and GIFs

Use screenshots and information you shared during the live stream and post them to your website, Instagram, Facebook, and any other pages you know your audience will value. You can even add it to an e-mail or use it as supporting material for longer videos. You can also use these graphics to get their attention as a teaser for the main content.

Any content you share in your live streams can be repurposed and used to promote your videos further. Think outside of the box, ask your viewers, and take advantage of the many other social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube shorts to get your creativity flowing.  As a streamer, your time is already limited. Repurposing your content saves you time while further building your audience.
