You put a lot of time and effort into writing your emails each week. Shouldn’t you get the most from all that work? As much as we’d like to think that our subscribers open every email we send and then read every single word in it, that’s not what’s happening. A fair percentage of them will see what you have to say if you do your job right, but it’s not going to be all of them all the time.
Add to that the fact that there are plenty of people out there who may be interested in what you have to say but aren’t on your list and it becomes clear that you can increase your reach by repurposing your emails.
This is great written content that you’re putting out on a regular basis. Spread it far and wide. Get it in front of as many eyeballs as possible by repurposing your emails in several different ways. This may not be something you’ve even considered doing, but trust me, it’s worth it. Not only will you increase your reach, you’ll also be able to expose the same people to your message multiple times. I don’t have to tell you that we sometimes have to hear the same thing more than once before we take action on it, or before it sinks in.
It makes sense to repurpose your emails then so they can be seen by more people and more often. One of the easiest things you can do is simply resend the same email a few weeks or months later. If it did well and a lot of your customers liked the content or the offer, simply share it again.
Another great option is adding it to your auto-responder series. It’s something you can do regularly. Once a month go through the broadcast emails you’ve sent and see which ones converted well or generated a decent bit of money for you. Then copy and paste them into your A/R sequence. You can change the subject line and content a bit if you want to, but honestly, if it works, don’t mess with it.
Turning your email into a blog post is another great option. This works particularly well for lengthy emails or if you have some fun graphics to work with. Copy and paste, edit as needed and publish it on your blog. Of course you can then send yet another email to your readers about the new blog post that they should check out.
Another great option is sharing your email content on social media. You can of course outsource it by having your auto-responder service provider post all broadcast emails to your Facebook and Twitter account for example. I find you get much better results by doing this by hand though. You can pick and choose what emails you want to post to your social media accounts and optimize both the content and the images for each platform.
