Repurposing Content is Not New

Ebook Content Marketing

Even when it comes to repurposing content or using private label content (PLR) this is also not new. PLR has been around for businesses and associations since they began created content to educate and inform their audience. Whether an article in a magazine, a newspaper, a TV commercial or other format, PLR not only has always been around it’s always worked.

Think about how the Associated Press works. Reporters signed up with the AP can get the information and research, use it, and make it into their own work using the sources and information the AP first provides.

In addition, for many years businesses, clubs, and associations have used newsletters to give their audience information. Companies have often used pre-created content for those newsletters with full permission to alter and change and use as their own for their audience. It used to come in the mail ready to cut out and paste for printing. Now, PLR is available for purchase online as a download.

Advertising companies often created stories and content for their customers that they then repurposed across all media. One idea or story for a TV advertisement could be used in a News Paper or Magazine Advertisement. They might even convince a popular TV show to feature their product (influencer marketing). Repurposing and reusing content has been around forever.

Using either PLR or your own content as the basis for creating additional content has been an effective way for companies and organizations to keep their audience informed and persuaded to make purchases for ages without having to start from scratch every single time.
