Make It Easy to Promote You – Create Tools and Swipes

To make it easy for your affiliates to promote you, one way to do that is to ensure that you create tools, resources, and swipes for them to use in their promotions. The more marketing materials you can offer them that make their job “cut and paste” easy (notice a theme?), the more likely they will be to promote you. 

  • Graphics – Provide branded graphics for them to use. If you give them the ability to edit the graphics they use in their own ads and promotions, that’s even better. It’s up to you of course how much control you need over your branding and what you allow. By providing graphics, you reduce the work they must do which makes it more likely they’ll promote you.

 

  • Infographics – This is a great way to present facts to your affiliates but also for them to use to spread those facts to their audience who may want your offers. Attach the infographic to your affiliate software so that they get credit for links sent to your site by sharing the infographic.

 

  • Statistics Swipe – Many affiliates like writing their own copy but doing the research can take up a lot of time. Do some audience research, product research, and industry research and put those stats into a swipe file so that they can use them in their promotions. 

 

  • Product Facts – Give them a list of product facts in a separate file so that it’s easy to find. If you make one for each product, they can quickly answer questions or grab info to turn into a blog post or other information. 

 

  • Branding Facts – Include the facts about your brand. For example, who are you and why did you start and who do you serve and why? When your affiliates can share the story of you and how you came up with your solutions, it’s going to help not only establish you as an expert because someone else is saying it, but it will build trust.

 

  • Blog Content – Create a few blog posts for them that they can use as private label rights content to edit and adjust, so it better fits their audience. They should be able to use it as is but give them tips on making it even better by showing how you shared it with your list.

 

  • Video Content – If you have a video of your product that can help your affiliates market you, such as clips from webinars or demonstrations, let them use it in their promotions. A short clip can do wonders for getting the word out.

 

  • Social Media Content – You should also provide some quotes, blurbs, memes, and so forth that they can use in their social media to promote as well. Maybe they want to use some of that in an advertisement or to promote a blog post. It will help get the word out and keep the message clear.

Remember that at any time you can ask your affiliates for feedback on what they want and need. You should go ahead and schedule an autoresponder message to go to new affiliates a few days after they join, plus periodically after that, that asks for improvement ideas.
